In the quiet, rolling hills of Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, one Rogers Behavioral Health employee is making a huge impact with a wagging tail and four paws. Welcome back to our “Working Like a Dog!” series, where we celebrate the pups in our community who are truly working to enrich the lives of others.

A Different Kind of Coworker
Kobe isn’t your average office dog; he’s an Experiential Therapy Assistant. While some therapy dogs provide casual comfort, Kobe is part of a structured Canine Assisted Intervention (CAI) program. This means he doesn’t just show up for hugs and pets - he has specific treatment goals to help patients work through. Whether he’s helping a teen practice assertiveness on a walk or providing a calm presence during group therapy, Kobe is a bridge of healing.
Kobe’s Daily Grind
Kobe’s workday is filled with purpose:
Building Confidence: He helps patients with social anxiety by taking walks around the beautiful campus, encouraging them to find their voice and set boundaries.
Overcoming Challenges: For those struggling with OCD or anxiety, even a simple game of fetch with Kobe can be a breakthrough in managing contamination fears or practicing self-care.
Non-Judgemental Support: In a place where people are working through their toughest days, Kobe offers unconditional love and support without saying a word.
The LuLu London Connection with Kobe
The collaboration between LuLu London and the Rogers Behavioral Health Foundation is a philanthropic partnership where customized bandanas for Kobe are used to fund mental health initiatives.
This collaboration is deeply personal because one of the co-founders of LuLu London, Craig, is a former patient at Rogers Behavioral Health. Craig's transition from a patient seeking treatment for OCD and anxiety to a business owner supporting the same foundation represents a "full circle" moment of recovery and advocacy.
2025 Celebrate the Light Gala
In 2025, LuLu London created the official dog bandana for the 2025 "Celebrate the Light" Gala, hosted by the Rogers Behavioral Health Foundation. Kobe was in attendance and wore the gala bandana. LuLu London donated over 100 replica mini gala bandanas to dress Kobe Plushies. These were sold at the event to raise funds for the Foundation's patient care grants and programs. It was a truly amazing evening! We are very excited to continue this partnership in 2026!
Kobe is more than just a dedicated member of the Rogers Behavioral Health team; he is a symbol of the profound connection between healing and hope. Through his daily work on campus he proves that sometimes the most impactful support comes with four paws and a wagging tail.
